11 Ducati launches slated for 2022, including DesertX and Streetfighter V2

While some of these are variants and special editions, others are model year updates. There are also a couple of all-new motorcycles.
Barely has the year kicked off and Ducati has already given us a whole lot to look forward to. As many as 11 new bikes will be launched in 2022, says the Italian brand..
All-new models are Streetfighter V2, DesertX
2022 Panigale V4 to arrive in Q2
Multistrada V2, Streetfighter V4 SP also on the list
The year will kick off with the launch of the Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro (a special edition revealed at the Ducati World Premiere a few months ago) and the Panigale V2 Troy Bayliss Edition (which wears a livery inspired by the 996R on which Troy Bayliss won his very first WSBK title in 2001). Bookings for both these special editions are now open, and they will be followed by the launch of the Multistrada V2 (which is an evolution of the Multistrada 950), and the Scrambler 800 Urban Motard.
The second quarter of the year will see the launch of the Streetfighter V4 SP – a lightened, more hardcore version of Ducati’s meanest naked bike. It will be followed by its fully faired cousin, the Panigale V4, which will launch in its 2022 guise with a number of meaningful updates. Its smaller sibling, the Streetfighter V2, will make its India debut right after. Next up will be the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, a sportier take on Ducati’s flagship adventure tourer, and the XDiavel Poltrona Frau – a special edition made in collaboration with the luxury Italian furniture brand.
The second half of the year seems to be a little less action-packed, with only two launches planned. But one of those two is the exciting DesertX – Ducati’s most hardcore off-road bike in quite a long time. The other is the 2022 model year Panigale V4 SP, which will be a more focused version of the brand’s flagship superbike, with new aero, suspension and chassis geometry.
And just as all this dies down, Ducati should be poised to hold the 2022 edition of its World Premiere, giving us a whole lot more to look forward to in 2023. A heavily loaded and very red toybox arriving every winter sounds a whole lot like Christmas, doesn’t it?
