4 Tricks to Stay Energized
It is difficult to be a successful person when you have only one desire – to lie down and go to sleep. The effect of coffee passes quickly, and energy drinks are bad for the body after work. You begin to look enviously at the outlet. Here are 4 tricks to help you stay energized all day, even if you’re working from home. Become a cool battery-powered bunny who has energy not only for work but also for relaxation, for example, to read books, play casino games in Canada, and watch movies.
Go to Bed
Night is for sleeping, day is for winning. You want to feel energetic from the start of the day – get a good night’s sleep the night before. Take control of your sleep before it does it for you. Go to bed 15 minutes earlier than yesterday. Put your phone away an hour before bedtime.
The ideal number of hours for sleep depends on your body. Some people get six hours of sleep, while others have a hard time staying awake after eight hours of sleep. Find your ideal time and stick to it. Remember that sleeping shorter than 6 hours gradually leads to a drop in glucose levels. In simple words, a lack of sleep causes you to start getting stupid.
Check Your Schedule
Get rid of the “energy destroyers” in advance – useless internet surfing or empty phone conversations. Plan your day so that nothing will “steal” your energy.
Every night make a to-do list for the next day. Take that list and number each task in descending order, starting with the most important. Do the same, but in descending order of urgency.
There should be two numbers opposite each to-do, one for importance and one for urgency. Prioritize the items that have accumulated the most, and try to complete them first.
Take a Break
Never give up a short rest in favor of work. Neglecting breaks or time for lunch increases feelings of fatigue.
During your breaks, change your surroundings. Go outside or get some fresh air by an open window. Oxygen will give you a new burst of energy.
Keep an Eye on What’s on Your Plate
Also make sure there’s something healthy on your plate. Don’t neglect your meals so you don’t feel hungry and lack energy because of it. Eat often, but in small portions. Because of overeating, all the energy of the body will be engaged in digestion. It will be hard to work productively under such conditions.
Give up sweets in favor of vigor. The joy of sweets is quickly replaced by a feeling of sleepiness. Instead of fast carbohydrates, start consuming whole-grain products. The body processes them slowly, so it stays awake longer.
Replace coffee with mint tea. Even the taste of peppermint gum will help you concentrate on the task at hand.
