Ademola Lookman panenka: Fulham star apologises after shocking penalty miss vs West Ham

“He’s disappointed and rightly so. Everyone can miss penalties of course but in a certain way. This is football, growing as an individual and we’ll learn from this.”

Reed hailed keeper Alphonse Areola for keeping his side in the game at West Ham until late on, and said Fulham would look to build on last week’s win over West Brom when they return to action against Everton after the international break.

“It is a difficult place to come and we had to weather the storm,” said Reed. “Alphonse is the last man there to protect us and he has done a great job.

“From the West Brom game we took a lot of confidence and we’ll take what we can.”
