Alan Wake Remastered PC Epic Games Store Release Leaked

Control and Quantum Break hitmaker Remedy may be bringing back one of its best games, Alan Wake in the form of a remaster for PC. According to recently leaked Epic Games Store database entries, Alan Wake Remastered is slated for PC on Epic Games Store.

Considering Remedy’s close working relationship with Epic Games, Microsoft, and Sony, it’s safe to say that the Alan Wake Remastered will be gracing the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well.

And when you take into account that its last big hit, Control, was an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year, this would suggest a similar situation for Alan Wake Remastered PC as well. What this means is, if this listing is accurate, there won’t be a Steam version of Alan Wake Remastered PC at launch.

It’ll be interesting to see how Alan Wake Remastered is received. The original was initially an Xbox 360 exclusive that had the misfortune of launching in the same time frame as the first Red Dead Redemption.

And while it garnered critical acclaim, it was far from commercially viable until Remedy released it on PC via Steam a few years later. Assuming Remedy makes good on its acquisition of Alan Wake’s publishing rights and it’s likely we’ll see the Alan Wake Remastered grace more platforms than just PC.

And if you’re interested to see what all the fuss is about, Alan Wake and its DLCs are playable on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store right now.
