Battlegrounds Mobile India Hits 10 Million Downloads

Krafton’s much awaited Battlegrounds Mobile India launched in Early Access few weeks and it was fully launched last week. Considering how popular the battle royale game is in the country, it isn’t surprising that Battlegrounds Mobile India has already gathered over 10 million downloads on Google Play Store.

Players who download Battlegrounds Mobile India before August 20 will get launch rewards including the Constable Set (Permanent), ‘India Ka Battlegrounds’ Gift, 1M total downloads reward, and 5M total downloads reward. During the game’s official release, Krafton said, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans in India who have been waiting for the official launch of Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India.” It added, “Thank you all for spending your precious time with Battlegrounds Mobile India. Krafton will do its best to provide you a pleasant gaming experience.”

Even after gaining over 10 million players on Android, Krafton is yet to announce the iOS release date for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The company is working on an iOS release, but hasn’t shared any concrete information yet. Sources familiar with Krafton’s plans have told us that iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India is crucial to the company. Although majority of the game’s player base is expected to be on Android, the iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India could bring several paying players.

Battlegrounds Mobile India will get various content updates and events frequently, all of which will be exclusive to Indian players. Krafton will also create a dedicated esports scene for Battlegrounds Mobile India. However, details about Battlegrounds Mobile India esports are yet to be announced.
