Bellamkonda Srinivas on stepping into Prabhas' shoes for Chatrapathi remake: I am not jittery | Bollywood Life

Popular south actor Bellamkonda Srinivas, who has acted in south films like Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Saakshyam, Kavacham, Rakshasudu, is set to make his Hindi debut with remake of Prabhas starrer Chratapathi, which was directed by Baahubali and RRR helmer SS Rajamouli. The film will be helmed by popular Tollywood filmmaker VV Vinayak, who directed films like Tagore, Khaidi No. 150, Aadi and others. While we are quite excited for this venture, when Bellamkonda Srinivas was asked whether he is nervous to step into the shoes of Prabhas, he told E Times, “Not many (non-Telugus) must have watched ‘Chatrapathi’. So, I am not jittery,” he says, suggesting that he doesn’t think there will be comparisons.” Also Read – Adipurush: Saif Ali Khan apologises for his statement on ‘humanising’ Raavan; says, ‘Lord Ram has always been the symbol of heroism’

The film will be produced by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios. Speaking about the remake, Jayantilal said in a statement, “Chatrapathi is a great script and we needed a southern star to carry it to Bollywood, and we saw Bellamkonda as a perfect fit. We are very excited about this project, and everything is falling in place at a great speed. We have updated the script to match Bollywood sensibilities.” Also Read – Week that was South: Prabhas collaborates with KGF makers for Salaar, Rajinikanth to announce his political party on New Year’s Eve

Meanwhile Prabhas has pan-India projects like Adipurush, Radhe Shyam, Salaar and Nag Ashwin’s untitiled sci-fi next under his belt. Talking about Adipurush, director Om Raut said earlier in a statement, “Ever since I watched Baahubali, I was impressed by Prabhas. He is so subtle that we can relate and feel the depth of his characters. Adipurush is my dream project and dreams of a director cannot be accomplished without a team. I have Prabhas to help me translate my vision on screen and our producer, Bhushan Kumar has been a pillar of strength and understanding with his unconditional support through this initial phase of our journey. It will be a great chance to work with both of them.” Also Read – Viral Pictures: From preggers Anushka Sharma’s headstand to Taimur turning into a chef, these 5 moments kept social media buzzing
