Brahmastra: Fans think they’ve spotted Deepika Padukone in the trailer. Take a look

The first trailer of Brahmastra, Ayan Mukerji’s next starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt arrived a while ago and it has sparked a fair share of theories. For starters, fans are convinced Shah Rukh Khan is a part of the film and his cryptic first look is out in the trailer. Now, a theory around Deepika Padukone appearing in the film has gained popularity. You read that right! 

In one of the opening shots of the Brahmastra trailer, a woman can be seen walking amidst waves. The character does not appear to be Alia Bhatt who plays Isha in the film or Mouni Roy who plays the villain Junoon. The unnamed character caught the attention of fans who think this could be Deepika Padukone. In case you’re wondering, there is no confirmation of Deepika playing a part in the film. However, fans think she will be playing “Jal Devi” (Water Goddess).

It remains to be seen if there’s any truth to the speculations. Not long ago, the buzz around Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Brahmastra began when the trailer dropped. Fans believe that the character holding a trident is SRK. While the actor will be appearing in the film, the details about his involvement have been kept under wraps.

Brahmastra features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The film is inspired by Indian mythology and promises to offer a grand visual spectacle. The film arrives in cinemas on September 9.
