Brazil legend Pele in hospital after suffering with undisclosed health issue
Brazilian football legend Pele is in hospital battling an undisclosed health problem, but his business manager has insisted there is no need to worry. The 80-year-old has been hospitalised for almost a week to undergo routine examinations but isn’t thought to be seriously ill.
Pele is a three-time World Cup winner with Brazil and is widely considered to be the greatest football player of all time.
He was receiving routine check-ups in Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital when the undisclosed issue came to light.
Joe Fraga, Pele’s business manager, says there is no cause for concern over his condition.
He stated: “Full battery of tests, scans, colonoscopy, blood etc. He doesn’t do everything in one day.”
