Carol Vorderman: Countdown legend apologises after on-air complaint

Countdown legend Carol Vorderman is a regular fixture on BBC Radio Wales. The mathematician was joined on the programme with her co-star Nathan Sussex when she apologised to a listener.
The 59-year-old had just wrapped up playing a festive song on the radio as the Countdown star made an announcement on-air.
The TV veteran revealed she had just received a text message from a listener who had thanked Carol for not playing Christmas songs on the radio.
The person in question was admittedly fed up with the festive music being played so frequently.
“We’ve got to make an apology before we even started,” Carol exclaimed.

The BBC radio host, who will celebrate her 60th birthday on Christmas Eve, shared a snap on Twitter ahead of a day of trekking.
Carol donned appropriate hiking gear as she wrapped up in lycra leggings and boots.
She accompanied her look with blue woollen socks which added extra warmth, and her hair, which has been highlighted in tones of honey blonde, whipped around in the breeze.
During her walk, Carol filled her ears with music, a pair of matte grey headphones perched on her head.
