The plot, like its original, revolves around a coolie Raju who helps his friend avenge an insult by a wealthy father, who only wants a rich man as his son-in-law.

Even though we are familiar with the story, Varun’s histrionics along with Sara Ali Khan’s flamboyance promise an entertaining watch.

Coolie No 1 has been produced by Pooja Entertainment. It was previously eyeing a theatrical release on May 1, 2020. But, owing to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent shutting down of cinema halls, the movie will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 25, 2020.
