Dick Strawbridge apologises to Escape to the Chateau viewer as he breaks bad news
Dick Strawbridge took to social media last night to respond to an Escape to the Chateau viewer. The TV star, who appears in the show with his wife Angel, apologised to the fan after revealing that viewers will have to wait a little longer than expected to see the next instalment of the programme.
“Oh No – 7 more days until the next #EscapeToTheChateau,” an initial Twitter post read.
The 61-year-old soon responded to them with some bad news.
“Sorry Alison, the next and final programme is on Christmas evening….”
A festive special of Escape to the Chateau will air on Christmas Day this year.

An eighth series of the show has yet to be announced by Channel 4.
The popular programme first aired in 2016 and was only meant to be a one-off, however fans loved it so much that it quickly returned for a second series.
The show originally followed Dick and Angel’s quest to renovate 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France ahead of their wedding.
The couple, who share two children together, tied the knot in 2015 and continue to renovate their grand family home.
Series seven saw the couple’s family come together to build an open kitchen and create a pop-up restaurant in their orangery to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.
With no guests or weddings over the summer, they also got to work on some of the outbuildings on the estate.
They turned an old wash house into a bathroom for the boat on the moat, and Dick made some sloe gin from homegrown berries.
Escape to the Chateau will air on Channel 4 on Christmas Day at 8.10pm.
