‘Did you slip up?’ Casualty legend Amanda Mealing sparks confusion with Corrie ‘debut’
Amanda Mealing, 53, spoke out on Twitter as she gushed over the Queen’s visit to Coronation Street. The former Casualty actress, who played Connie Beauchamp for over two decades, stunned her fans following her cryptic post.
In view of her 59,000 followers, Amanda reacted to a post from Coronation Street’s official Twitter account.

They added the hashtags: “@RoyalFamily @itv @WeAreSTV #Corrie.”
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Amanda penned: “Well, not often HRH [Her Royal Highness] herself pops into my work! Ha!”

Amanda’s post comes months after she announced her sudden exit from the long-running BBC drama, Casualty, last month.
Her character was given a low-key goodbye, with it not being immediately clear it was the last we’d see of her.
However, Amanda previously announced her extended break from the show to concentrate on other work.
Following the broadcast, she tweeted: “What an amazing send off. Thank you, guys! Thank you.
