Frank Lampard urges Premier League caution as Chelsea eye Liverpool, Man City title battle

Chelsea currently sit seventh in the Premier League table but only four points off first-place Liverpool, such has been the varied start by all teams in England’s top tier. And due to the narrow margin in points Lampard was asked if Chelsea can mount a serious title challenge in a more open league.

“We have to wait,” he responded. “A long way to go. The start has been open, some unexpected results but it may level itself out. I won’t jump ahead too much at the moment but it is open.

Chelsea take on Sheffield United on Saturday and a win would likely put them into the top four. And with the international break looming it would be the perfect way to sign.
