Furlough warning: Workers who have been furloughed are facing tighter lending criteria

This, reportedly, accounts for just five percent of total employment costs or £70 per employee per month.
Additionally, the government has confirmed they will review the furlough scheme in January.
While this review will primarily be used to examine whether the economic circumstances have improved enough for employers to be asked to increase contributions to wages, it remains a possibility the scheme itself will be extended.
This outcome may be likely, with the Chancellor Rishi Sunak detailing he would do whatever it takes to keep the economy going, as he confirmed last month: “I’ve always said I would do whatever it takes to protect jobs and livelihoods across the UK – and that has meant adapting our support as the path of the virus has changed.
