“Getting my boys trained up on how to use a gun in the unlikely event Bernie Sanders beats Donald Trump” – When Aubrey Huff taught his sons gun safety lesson in the wake of Bernie Sanders’ 2019 presidential run

Former MLB star Aubrey Huff trained his kids how to shoot at the range after the “unlikely event” where Bernie Sanders defeated Donald Trump in 2020.

Huff claimed that “knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must” in a widely mocked Twitter post that appeared to refer to a civil war.

Together with the #2ndAmendment, his post included the accounts of the National Rifle Association and right-wing comic Chad Prather.

“Getting my boys trained up on how to use a gun in the unlikely event @BernieSanders beats @realDonaldTrump in 2020. In which case knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must. By the way most the head shots were theirs. @NRA @WatchChad #2ndAmendment” – Aubrey Huff

One of the celebs who commented on Huff’s post was Patricia Arquette.

“Are you warning your kids to never call the fire department or police because that’s too socialist too? Or that they should never to go to Europe because they have health care for all people? Because the US is far more dangerous,” she tweeted in response.”

Huff responded when someone suggested contacting child protective services:

“This is the world we live in today. Teaching your children how to safely handle and shoot a gun at a legal gun range is now grounds for having your children taken away from you.”

Since leaving baseball in 2012, Huff has worked as a color commentator.

Aubrey Huff won two World Series championships

He earned two World Series championships with the San Francisco Giants in 2010 and 2012. He has also discussed his battles with anxiety and depression while he was a player.

Huff and the Baltimore Orioles agreed to a three-year contract in 2007. In his debut season with the Orioles, he hit 15 home runs, the fewest since 2001.

Aubrey Huff batted after receiving the Silver Slugger Award in 2008 for the designated hitter position. 304 with a career-high 108 RBI and 32 home homers.
