Making the Cut stars Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are full of opinions, which made them absolutely perfect candidates for Good Housekeeping‘s Youtube series “Highly Debatable.”
During their on-camera interview with us, which also featured new Making the Cut season 2 judge Jeremy Scott, we asked the fashionistas to weigh in on some of the most burning questions circulating around the internet. Needless to say, the trio has very strong feelings about leaving your shoes on in the house (that’s a “no” for Tim), straight or flared jeans (Heidi lives for skinny jeans) and sparkling versus still water (Jeremy is Team Sparkling, just “like his personality”). You can see their super fun responses in the video above.
While answering these pressing questions, Tim and Heidi dished a bit about season 2 of Making the Cut, which kicks off on Amazon Prime Video Friday, July 16. Just like last season, this year’s show follows established designers as they compete in various challenges for the ultimate grand prize of one million dollars for their brand.
When asked to compare seasons 1 and 2, both Heidi and Tim concurred it’s nearly impossible to pick one over the other. “It would be like choosing between my four children,” Heidi explains. “I love my children the same … those are our babies. We love them both equally. Equally, they were as much fun and challenging in their own way.”
Despite not being able to choose a favorite season, Heidi says filming season 2 sparked a “different appreciation” in light of the challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. While season 1 saw Heidi, Tim and the cast of designers jet-setting to Tokyo, Paris and New York, travel restrictions kept the dynamic duo in the country. As a result, season 2 was all filmed in Los Angeles.
“Coming out of this, and thankfully nothing happened and everyone is, like, hunky dory afterwards, that’s like a job well done,” Heidi concludes.
