Here’s what Farhan Akhtar has to say about his next directorial


Farhan Akhtar is a fabulous actor. The filmmaker and producer turned actor with Rock On and since then he has been only surprising us with his various roles. However one cannot forget that this talented director has given us gems like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya and Don franchise.

Today in an interview with a leading daily, Farhan Akhtar was asked about his plans for his next directorial. He was asked if he’s going back to Don 3. To this the actor said that he surely thinks about directing a film everytime he is done with acting for a film. “I think about direction every time I finish (acting in) a film. Hopefully, in the near future, I will direct (a movie),” said the actor. Now it looks like the actor is not sure about his next directorial plan yet. Guess, we got to keep waiting for some more time.


The last time Farhan Akhtar donned the director’s hat was in 2011 for Don 2. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lara Dutta and Boman irani. The film was a hit at the box-office.

Speaking about his upcoming film, Farahn Akhtar is all geared up for the digital release of Toofan – a film on boxing helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. This is their second outing post Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and looks like we are going to get some epic drama with this one too. Toofan streams on an OTT platform from July 16th onwards.
