Is Lamar Jackson playing in Week 4? Fantasy injury update for Ravens-Broncos

Lamar Jackson missed Wednesday’s practice with back soreness, marking the second straight week he’s missed a day of practice. The Ravens take on the Broncos in Week 4, and with Jackson being a fantasy superstar, this is obviously a cause for concern. We have the latest injury update on Jackson so you can better prepare your start ’em, sit ’em decisions, not only at quarterback but also wide receiver and tight end.

We’ll continue to update this post with news on Jackson up until the official active/inactive report comes out. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy. Is Lamar Jackson playing in Week 4?

Jackson’s absence from Wednesday’s practice is most likely just a precaution, and he seemingly carries little concern heading into Week 4. It would be a surprise if he missed this game, but obviously we’ll have to keep monitoring the practice reports.

WEEK 4 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

It’s worth noting that Denver has allowed the least fantasy points to QBs (11.6 FFPG). However, they’ve faced Daniel Jones, Trevor Lawrence, and Zach Wilson. We know Lamar is a head above any of those guys, and he is matchup proof. Just this season, he’s averaged 84 rushing yards per game and scored two touchdowns on the ground. Through the air, he’s been better, too, as Hollywood Brown looks to be on the verge of a breakout season (assuming he holds onto the ball this wee).

We’re probably wasting characters here because we all know Jackson should not see your fantasy bench under any circumstance if he’s active.

WEEK 4 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Just because we should always be ready, Tyler Huntley is the backup QB in Baltimore. If Jackson miraculously misses this game, Huntley wouldn’t be in play in single-QB leagues, but Brown and Mark Andrews can still be used, though their ceilings are obviously lower.
