Jeremy Bulloch dead: Star Wars

Star Wars actor Jeremy Bulloch has died after a battle with health complications, including several years living with Parkinson’s disease aged 75. The star first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and then in Return of the Jedi three years later.
News of Jeremy’s passing was shared by actor Daniel Logan, who played the young Boba Fett in the prequel Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.
Alongside a picture of the late star on Instagram, he wrote: “It brings me tears to announce Jeremy Bulloch has passed away.
“RIP legend, I’ll never forget all you’ve taught me.
“I’ll love you forever. Conventions won’t be the same without you. May the force be with you always.”
A statement on his official website confirmed he had died while in hospital.
It reads: “He spent his final weeks in the wonderful care of staff at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, close to the house where he and his wife Maureen had lived together for more than fifty years.
“Maureen and two of his sons, Jamie and Robbie, were with him during his final days.
“Jeremy had a long and happy life as an actor and was best known for his roles in the films Summer Holiday, Star Wars and James Bond; TV series the Newcomers, Doctor Who, Agony and Robin of Sherwood, and several West End theatre productions.”
They added the Star Wars actor was also a talented footballer and cricketer and supported a number of charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital.
“He was devoted to his wife, three sons and ten grandchildren, who all love him dearly and will miss him terribly,” the statement concludes.
Despite not acting in Star Wars films for years, Jeremy was a regular at conventions up until he retired from live appearances in 2018.
He had appeared in numerous television and film productions including Doctor Who and Robin of Sherwood.
Tributes have flooded in for the late actor on Twitter this evening.
Comedian Dane Cook wrote: “Jeremy Bulloch the REAL #BobaFett thank you for creating one of the coolest characters I’ve ever experienced in a film.
“Your BLUE action figure is on my desk and has been since I was a kid. RIP and remember… no eviscerations.”
A fan commented: “We lost the great #JeremyBulloch today. Rest In Peace. #BobaFett.”
“Can 2020 please just stop!!!!! We’ve lost another legend and my heart hurts right now. RIP,” a third added.
