John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal test positive for COVID-19

On Monday, John Abraham, through his Instagram story, informed everyone that he and his wife Priya Runchal have tested positive for COVID-19. The couple is currently undergoing home quarantine. John also informed that he had come in contact with a COVID-positive person three days ago.

John, in his story, wrote, “I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had Covid. Priya and I have tested positive for Covid. We have been quarantined at home so haven’t been in contact with anyone else.” He further added, “We are both vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up.”

Numerous Bollywood celebrities have contracted Coronavirus in the past few days. Mrunal Thakur, Shilpa Shirodkar and Nora Fatehi revealed through their respective social media handles that they have tested positive for the virus.

Arjun Kapoor, his sister Anshula Kapoor, their cousin Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani were also diagnosed with COVID-19 last week.

John and Priya got married in January 2014 and had kept their relationship under a low profile. John was last seen in Satyameva Jayate 2 alongside Divya Khosla Kumar. John played a triple role in the movie. John’s next movie Attack, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, will be released in theatres on January 28.
