Jurgen Klopp speaks out on Mohamed Salah drama after Liverpool star fumed at substitution
Liverpool had two goals ruled out for offside and suffered yet more injury problems, with James Milner having to be replaced with that appeared to be a hamstring issue.
But Klopp could not fault the effort of his players on the day as the Reds moved to the top of the table for the time being at least.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the boys for how they played today,” the German added.
“We struggled a bit in the first half an hour with the new last line, because we didn’t drop in the right time.
“We sorted that but in the second half we had some problems with energy.
