Kate Garraway voices concerns over Covid vaccine development amid husband’s health battle

Derek, who she married in 2005, currently remains in hospital after being admitted with coronavirus in March.

He is now free of the virus, but continues to battle further health complications after being put into an induced coma.

In July, he came out of a “deeper coma” and was in a minimal state of consciousness, but doctors told Kate they were unsure if or when he’ll make a full recovery.

The couple share two children together; Darcey, 14, and Billy, 11.
