Lady A forced to pull out of CMA Awards 2020 'last minute' after coronavirus exposure

“So far, the three of us continue to test negative and out of an abundance of caution and love for everyone involved with the CMAs, we’ve decided to stay home from the awards tonight.”

The band said they were “bummed” they will not be able to perform, adding: “We’ll be cheering on our friends at home like the rest of y’all! Stay safe out there.”

Despite the rest of the band not making to the CMAs this year, Charles managed to make a last minute appearance.

Stepping in to perform I Hope You’re Happy Now with Carly Pearce, he took the place of yet another act who had to pull out due to coronavirus.

Singer Lee Brice was due to perform but contracted the relentless virus earlier this week.
