Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirms two-player injury boost ahead of Wolves clash

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita could be back in the match-day squad to face Wolves on Sunday (7.15pm kick-off) but doesn’t yet know if either of the pair will be able to start.
Midfielder Keita was forced off in the win over Leicester a fortnight ago with a hamstring complaint while right-back Alexander-Arnold has not played since the draw at Manchester City at the start of November due to a muscle problem.
But the Premier League champions could welcome the pair back to the fold this weekend, with the duo to train on Friday afternoon ahead of prospective returns to the team.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: “I don’t know yet, we will see. Trent and Naby will do the first steps in team training today. Whatever we can do with that depends how it looks and stuff like this.
“We had some niggles after the game against Ajax, we have to see how they respond. So far they didn’t do a lot apart from treatment and stuff like this.
“We have to see how that develops. I don’t know in the moment. Apart from Naby and Trent, nobody is coming back.
“Ox looks really promising, he’s doing a lot of stuff, warming up with the team now, some ball work. We will develop that over the next few days and weeks.
“We will see which moment it makes sense to throw him in. He’s not too far away.”
Klopp added: “There’s a chance Naby and Trent can be in the squad, I would say. If they can play? I don’t know.
“If they’re in the squad they can play but if they can start or play 90 minutes? I don’t know. There’s a chance that they are in the squad, yes.”
