Lorraine Kelly forced to miss NTAs 2021 due to tennis legend Billie Jean King
Lorraine Kelly, 61, was this morning quizzed by fellow ITV presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on whether she would be going to the prestigious ceremony. But the ITV star confirmed she will not be attending this year’s NTAs due to prior work commitments.
Lorraine wished the presenting pair good luck as their show, This Morning, is up for an award, with Holly and co-presenter Alison Hammond, 46, nominated for the best presenter accolade.
Phillip asked Lorraine: “Will we see you there?”
Lorraine responded: “No. I’m interviewing an amazing big legend and the only time that we can do it is is right when the NTAs is on.”
Holly interrupted her asking: “Who is it? Who is it?”

With tears in her eyes, Kate said: “It’s a very strange experience because the National Television Awards 2020 was the last time we were all there.
“GMB had been nominated, I’m A Celeb had been nominated if you can remember if I ever did the jungle.
“Derek babysat that night for the children, and I remember going up on stage because I’m A Celebrity won.
“I remember calling him and saying, ‘I wish you’d been here because I’ll probably never be on this stage ever again’.”
She continued: “I didn’t know the National Television Awards then like everything else was besieged or what was coming for us both.
“I have been feeling really emotional, to be honest and wondering whether to go at all.
“It just feels a bit wrong to go. It feels wrong to be asking people to vote. It is such a difficult subject.
“And then yesterday I was smashing up some boxes at the front of my house. A lady walked past and she went ‘Good luck for tomorrow night, I hope you win’.”
