Louise Minchin finally explains reason behind mysterious absence from BBC Breakfast slot

Louise Minchin, 52, shared a photograph on social media of her bandaged foot as she relaxed at home, after sustaining an injury that has left her unable to present her BBC Breakfast slot. The TV host divulged that she would now be taking an extended break until she feels “a bit more mobile”,as fans previously questioned why she had mysteriously disappeared from their screens.

Louise typed: “Hiya, if you’ve been wondering what I am up to, I am having a break, to get my foot fixed.

“When I am a bit more mobile, as Arnie says, I will be back!! @BBCBreakfast.”

Underneath fans shared their sympathy toward the star as they wished her a speedy recovery.

One said: “Oh Louise I feel your pain, I had a lower foot reconstruction last week. I broke out today; my husband took me for a drive. Wishing you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back on mornings.”
