Maisie Smith: Gemma Atkinson
Maisie Smith, 19, has been wowing audiences with her show-stopping routines on Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders star is currently partnered with Gemma Atkinson’s boyfriend Gorka Marquez, 30, on the BBC programme.
The Tiffany Butcher actress revealed that she often chats with the former Hollyoaks star and revealed the mum-of-one has given her some advice on “chemistry” with Gorka when performing.
It comes as the current lockdown and social distancing measures that are in place have forced Strictly professionals and their celebrity partners having to form social bubbles in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus.
Maisie is yet to meet Gemma, whose romance with Gorka began when she appeared on Strictly in 2017.
The EastEnders actress explained: “Gemma has been giving us some advice about our chemistry on the dancefloor because she knows Gorka the most.

“We send videos and she gives me tips. As much as we can we try to stay connected to Gemma.”
Maisie also opened up about her struggles with “loneliness” as she continues to live alone during the current series.
The small-screen star admitted she had a good friendship with Gorka as she explained they’re “the same person”.
“Gorka is living alone and so am I. All the loneliness we’re feeling at home, we can just come in and actually hug someone,” Maisie continued to the Sun.
Elsewhere, Maisie addressed rumours of a potential romance with co-star HRVY but the actress said “not right now”.
In the same interview, she explained: “Not right now. He is a beautiful-looking guy, but I have only seen him for a couple of hours a week so I am still enjoying getting to know him.
“I don’t know what would happen in the future, but for now we are getting along really well as friends.”
Meanwhile, Maisie stunned BBC audiences with her stunning performance on last week’s show.
