Man Utd boss Solskjaer could put four stars microscope in Istanbul Basaksehir clash

Manchester United are looking to make it three wins from three in Group H when they take on Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow night. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are looking to bounce back from the disappointing 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday after failing to build on the rampant 5-0 win over RB Leipzig just over a week ago. The United boss may use this as a chance to rotate his squad and there are several players who could be under the microscope at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium.

Paul Pogba

There’s no hiding from it, Paul Pogba looks out of place in this United side and nobody quite knows why.

That’s because his quality is there for all to see when he plays for France but Solskjaer is yet to unlock his full potential.

As United look to shuffle the pack, this could be a chance for the former Juventus man to lay down his marker that he deserves to stay in the side.

This could be Pogba’s chance to get his season back on track and Solskjaer will want to see quality, desire and leadership from United’s record signing.

Axel Tuanzebe

United are looking to see whether Tuanzebe can build on his exceptional performance in the win over Paris Saint-Germain.

The young defender helped keep Kylian Mbappe and Neymar quiet but he is yet to feature since.

Many United supporters want to see Tuanzebe start every week but Solskjaer looks ready to stand by Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.

Should Tuanzebe marshal United to another clean sheet on the road in Europe, he will be heaping serious pressure on his manager to pick him more regularly.
