Man Utd chiefs

Manchester United are reportedly willing to stand by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and chiefs remain happy with the work he is overseeing at Old Trafford. The Norwegian has been in the job nearly two years now and led United to a third-place finish last season in the Premier League.
However, the Red Devils have struggled to build on their efforts though and currently sit 15th in the table as the pressure mounts on Solskjaer from the supporters.
United have enjoyed two memorable victories in Europe against Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig but are struggling to replicate such high-level performances in domestic action.
The thrashing of the Bundesliga side was followed up with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend.
Mikel Arteta now looks set to take the Gunners back to their former glories before United, who remain some way off Liverpool and Manchester City.

He said: “I judge the players by their actions and I just don’t see it. I never looked at a manager expecting to motivate me, that comes from within.
“Ole will lose his job working with these players, as night follows day – that’s what is going to happen.”
One man who remains available is former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine has been out of work nearly a year following his dismissal in north London and he would be a clear favourite for the United job should Solskjaer be dismissed.
