Meanhile, United will welcome Diallo to the club in January after he was granted a passport, according to reports.

The Red Devils agreed a deal to sign Atalanta winger Diallo in the summer for an initial fee of £19million, which could rise to £37.5m. However, work permit issues meant the teenager remained at Atalanta for the first half of the season.

Diallo has made just two appearances for Atalanta this term, including a cameo in the Champions League draw with FC Midtjylland earlier this month.
