Man Utd player ratings: Two stars flop in 3-2 win over Sheffield United

Manchester United (4-3-3)

Dean Henderson 4

Familiar turf for the United ‘keeper but an unfamiliar error on it gifted David McGoldrick his early goal.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6

Hardly overworked against limited Sheffield United attack but tidy enough.

Victor Lindelof 8

Rare assist for Rashford goal with accurate long pass to top off assured display at the back.

Harry Maguire 7

Solid aerial performance back at the club he supported as a boy from the United captain.

Alex Telles 6

Spent most of the evening as a left wing rather than a left back such was United’s possession dominance.

Nemanja Matic 5

Solidifying presence in front of the back four although did not win all of his battles.

Paul Pogba 7

There may be no long-term future for the Frenchman at United but he can still be of short-term value as he showed with his pass for Martial’s goal.

Bruno Fernandes 6

Not one of his most eye-catching games but one or two easy-on-the-eye flicks.
