Matthew Perry SPLITS from wife-to-be just days after sparking concern in Friends reunion

Matthew Perry, 51, has split from his fiancee of seven months Molly Hurwitz, 29, after sparking concern from viewers who had turned in to watch the Friends reunion last week. The actor said in a statement that the relationship had come to an end: “Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them.”

He continued to People magazine: “I wish Molly the best.”

Molly, a literary manager, has yet to comment on their break-up.

Matthew and Molly got engaged last November, after dating for two years.

News of their split comes after Matthew sparked concern about his wellbeing when he appeared to slur his speech during the highly-anticipated Friends reunion.

One viewer said: “Sad to see Matthew Perry this way.”

Another replied: “OMG what did Matthew Perry do to his face.”

Bosses at the TV show have since come forward to insist the actor is “fine”.

Ben Winston, who directed the reunion special was asked by The Hollywood Reporter if Matthew was doing OK. To this, he replied: “Yes, he was great. People can sometimes just be unkind. I wish they weren’t.”

”But yes, I think he’s OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.”

While a source close to the actor told The Sun newspaper that Matthew had been forced to have an “emergency tooth procedure” on the day the reunion was filmed.

It was only the second time the core six stars had been back together since the show’s finale 17 years prior, and the actors proved they are all still close pals.

“It’s funny when we do get together, it’s like no time has passed,” Matt LeBlanc told the same publication.

“We pick up right where we left off.”

Matthew agreed, insisting the chemistry that still exists between them all is “magic”.

Fans were also overjoyed at their TV favourites being back together again as they shared their emotional reactions on social media.

One said: “They are my safe space. They are my comfort zone. Thank you for bringing an immense amount of joy into my life when I needed it the most. I’m forever grateful and my heart is full #FriendsReunion.”

Another replied: “They are everything.”

A third commented: “OMG I can’t stop crying #friendsreunion.”(sic)
