MediaTek Helio G96 and Helio G88 chipsets focussing on camera performance announced |

MediaTek Helio G96 and Helio G88 mobile chipsets have been announced with a focus on smartphone photography. The former comes as a successor to the Helio G95 that was unveiled last year with MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology. The MediaTek Helio G96 supports an FHD+ display with 120Hz display, both LCD and AMOLED panels without any limitation in DDIC supply, C-PHY and D-PHY interface. There’s HyperEngine 2.0 Lite technology that includes Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine for gaming needs. Both the chipsets are built on TSMC 12nm process and are expected to power next-generation phones later this year.
