Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is ‘Very Confident’ About Activision-Blizzard Acquisition

The acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft will go down in the books as one of the biggest gaming acquisitions in history. Microsoft will be paying a whopping $69 Billion to acquire the gaming behemoths. This deal has been scrutinised plenty as many feel it will be promoting anti-competitiveness. The main issue that players have with deal is that they fear Call of Duty will become exclusive to Xbox and PC.

This fear comes from a genuine place as for decades players have been enjoying this classic shooter title across all platforms. The competition has increase since the title has introduced cross-platform and cross-gen play. So naturally, players started fearing that their days of playing Call of Duty on the PlayStation are numbered. On the other hand, Phil Spencer has shared with the fans that Call of Duty will remain multi-platform for the foreseeable future.

In recent news, Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO has come out and stated he is ‘very confident’ that the acquisition will move as planned. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, he stated, “Of course, any acquisition of this size will go through scrutiny, but we feel very, very confident that we’ll come out, so if this is about competition, let us have competition.” Microsoft has also thrown shots had Sony stating that their whole strategy over the past few years has been to create exclusive titles for their consoles.
