Microsoft Windows 11 Event: How to Watch and What to Expect

Today’s a big day for PC gamers, since Microsoft will be officially unveiling the newest version of Windows. Considering the large ramifications Windows 11 will have on the PC gaming landscape as a whole, just about every PC gamer out there has a vested interest in paying close attention to what Microsoft announces. Here’s everything you need to know about Microsoft’s Windows 11 event.

How and When to Watch

The Windows 11 event is set to start at 11am ET (around 8:30pm IST). It will be livestreamed on Microsoft’s official website, at its Windows Event page. The livestream doesn’t really need any specific browser.

It is also currently unknown whether Microsoft will also be livestreaming the event on YouTube. At the time of publishing there isn’t any YouTube link for the livestream on Microsoft’s and Windows’ YouTube channels.

Windows 11 Gaming Features

Windows 11 is set to be the biggest update to the operating system since the release of Windows 10 back in 2015. It will be bringing an overhaul to the general look and feel of the operating system, but the changes won’t be as sweeping as, for example, what we saw with Windows 8.

As for gamers, Windows 11 is expected to bring with it improved performance, as well as an overhaul to the Microsoft Store UI, which will undoubtedly make browsing and downloading games from Xbox Game Pass much simpler.

It is currently known whether Windows 11 would be a paid update or a free one for existing Windows 10 users.

Windows 11 Release Date

Safe to say we should see Microsoft reveal a release date for Windows 11 or a public beta of sorts given how close to ready leaked builds suggest it is. Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
