Mino Raiola namechecks Paul Pogba's potential next club with star 'not happy at Man Utd'

Mino Raiola has revealed the door is open on Paul Pogba’s return to Juventus as the super-agent confirmed his client is not happy at Manchester United. The timing of Raiola’s comments has caused outrage at Old Trafford given that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently preparing for their biggest game of the season against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

The Red Devils must avoid defeat against the Bundesliga side tonight in Germany to secure qualification to the knockout stages.

Should they be beaten, United would be set to drop into the Europa League, a prospect that is likely to affect their Premier League fortunes come what May.

United also host Manchester City on Saturday in the first Manchester derby of the season, another game they simply cannot afford to lose.

Pogba was back on the scoresheet after starting in the 3-1 win at West Ham last weekend.

The Frenchman was likely to keep his place in Leipzig before Raiola’s explosive interview with Tuttosport, in which he claimed Pogba’s United career was over.

He said: “There’s no point beating about the bush. It’s better to speak out clearly, look forward and avoid wasting time to find culprits.

“Paul is unhappy at Man Utd, he can’t manage to express himself like he wants to and like people expect him to.

“He needs to change team, he needs a change of scenery. He has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but the best solution for all parties is a transfer in the next (summer) window.

“Otherwise the Old Trafford club, which I have a great relationship with, knows well that they would risk losing him on a free transfer, given that at the moment it’s not the player’s intention to extend the contract.

“If anybody can’t understand this, then they know little or nothing about football. Anyway, they’re free to direct all the blame to myself if Paul were to leave next summer.”
