Monty Don’s ‘special’ news as Gardeners’ World host confirms BBC show is taken off-air
Monty Don, who recently celebrated his birthday, told viewers during tonight’s episode of Gardeners’ World that the popular gardening programme will be taken off-air next week. The BBC presenter revealed that he will not be back on the show for a fortnight.
The 66-year-old previously addressed his show absence after taking to Twitter and sharing some exciting news with viewers.
Speaking on Gardeners’ World, Monty said: “I’m afraid that this is it this week and we’re off-air next week.
“But I’ll be back here in a fortnight’s time at 8pm. So, I’ll see you then.”
Viewers flocked to comment on the news, as one wrote: “Whaaaat, no #GardenersWorld next week? Loved seeing the sweet peas this week, mine only just starting to flower.”

Meanwhile, Monty shared if viewers need some gardening pleasure then viewers can tune into another show special.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, he retweeted a link from TVO which is airing one of his documentaries.
