Motsi Mabuse: Strictly judge quits Twitter after trolls accuse her of being drunk on show

Motsi Mabuse, 39, has deleted her Twitter account after some viewers thought she was drunk during Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing. The judge returned to the programme last weekend after self-isolating following an emergency trip to Germany.

On Saturday, Motsi fumbled with her scoring paddle while issuing EastEnders star Maisie Smith her score, leading some Twitter users to question if she had been drinking.

One fan typed: “She’s been slurring her words and dropping paddles.”

The judge defended herself, as she typed: “It got stuck.”

Later she announced she would be quitting the platform, as she typed: “#strictlykindness”.
