Naga Munchetty hits back at Rita Ora for dismissing her as she talks Masked Singer rumours
Naga Munchetty, 45, has spoken out after Davina McCall, 53, shared her guess that the BBC Breakfast presenter could be the singing voice behind the mysterious Harlequin on The Masked Singer. The presenter broke her silence on the rumours while hosting her BBC Radio 5 Live show today.
Naga played a clip of Harlequin belting out a tune from Saturday night’s show and proceeded to hit back at judge Rita Ora’s claim that the voice couldn’t possibly be from a breakfast TV presenter.
The host declared while addressing Harlequin’s vocals: “The panel of judges took a little bit of deliberation.
“Harlequin was asked to give a few clues about who Harlequin is.
“And firstly, Harlequin said, ‘My bodyguard has received a lot of attention’ and then Harlequin said, ‘I get up before the sun for work’.”

The star went on to say The Masked Singer rumours had given her an idea for a talking point for her radio show.
She continued: “But, what we are talking about today is, has anyone kind of mistaken you or thought you were something you’re not?
“Any funny stories you might want to tell us?
“I’d love to hear them, so stay in touch!”
It comes after Naga suggested that she could hold a tune, as she referenced a time when she and her BBC Breakfast colleagues sang together at a Christmas concert not long ago.
A fan had originally responded to her co-star Mike Bushell after he guessed that Out Of Reach singer Gabrielle could be behind the Harlequin mask.
They typed to Mike: “Well they think Naga might be Harlequin?”
The 55-year-old replied: “Aw we think #Gabrielle not sure I’ve heard @TVNaga01 sing.”
Within minutes, Naga fired back: “Mike! We all sang together at a Christmas concert a few years ago! X.”
After his memory was jogged, Mike wrote back: “Oh yes Naga. How could I forget. To be fair I could hear that evening was Charlie Sinatra Stayt and @StephLunch he he. So it could be you [as Harlequin].”
