How To Be A Player and B.A.P.S. star Natalie Desselle Reid has died aged 53. A statement alongside a picture of the star was shared on her Instagram page this evening. Her cause of death is currently unknown.
A statement, believed to be from her family, reads: “It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Natalie this morning.
“She was a bright light in this world. A queen. An extraordinary mother and wife.
“Her diverse career touched so many and she will be loved forever.
“Naturally, we are grieving and processing this profound loss and we thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this extremely difficult time.”
Tributes have flooded in for the actress on social media this evening.
Kym Whitley wrote: “I’m praying for your family! Love and miss you Natalie.”
“Rest in paradise angel,” Jermaine Crawford commented.
A third penned: “I’m so sorry. My condolences.”
As well as he roles in B.A.P.S, Def Jam’s How to Be a Player and Cinderella, Natalie was also starred in the television series Built to Last and For Your Love.
For three seasons, she also played Janie Egins on the UPN series, Eve.
