NBA Playoffs: Blazers vs Nuggets: Damian Lillard breaks record of most 3s

NBA Playoffs: Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets: The game that went twice to overtime due to Damian Lillard’s clutch 3 pointers was won by the Nuggets 147-140.

Damian Lillard hit eight 3-pointers, including one from nearly half-court, to tie an NBA playoff record for most in a half in Game 2 against the Nuggets.

Lillard was 8 of 11 from long range against the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 on Monday night on his way to a 32-point first-half. His eight 3s matched the mark held by Toronto’s Vince Carter, who hit that many in the first half against Philadelphia on 11 May 2001.

Led by Lillard, Portland is putting on another stellar 3-point display and finished 12 of 18 for the half. The Portland Trail Blazers hit 19 3-pointers in Game 1, which was a franchise-best for a playoff game.

NBA Playoffs: In Game 5 against the Nuggets, Lillard had 55 points despite the loss.

He shot twelve 3-pointers in the game, beating Klay Thompson’s 11 against the Oklahoma City Thunder back in 2016.

He played against Nikola Jokic who he said is the favorite to win the MVP.

NBA Playoffs: What did Damian Lillard say?

But I think when you really look at it, and you see that Jokic has played in every game and he’s dominated the way he has, they’ve had injuries with so many guys out and missed games and he’s kept them rolling. He’s kept them where they are. And Embiid has missed a lot of games. And even when he got hurt, they just kept going, you know? So I would say Jokic. But yeah, I’m not going into the series worried about injuries or anything. They’re still a great team. We’re going to have our hands full either way.
