Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones, 38, said he believes the pair have “turned a corner” after a vital chat in which they agreed to “take it back to the beginning” by going on dates. The couple moved in together just after two weeks of dating due to lockdown.
Neil said he was keen to take things back to the start and get to know each other more by going on dates.
“That is something we haven’t been able to do.
“It wasn’t the ideal way to form a relationship so quickly,” he added.
Neil said by slowing down the pace, he believes the pair could have a lasting future together.
The dancer struck up a romance with Luisa following his split from fellow Strictly pro Katya Jones.
The pair, who married in 2013, announced their split after 11 years together last year.
Neil told fans he had moved on from his marriage split during an Instagram Q&A back in August.
Days later, he shared a picture with his new girlfriend.
Since confirming his new romance, a series of negative stories have come to light about Luisa.
One report suggested the dancer had a one-night stand while living with Neil, which she denied.
Another claimed she was reported to the Home Office by her ex DJ Hannah Wants, after her visa reportedly expired.
Neil later said on Twitter: “I normally choose not to say anything but once again a certain paper has printed another made up story even after they are told it’s not true.
“Good job I’ve got thick skin and I choose to be positive in life.”
Addressing the negative stories, he went on to tell Hello! Magazine: “We’ve sat down and talked and we’ve both been really honest with each other and I feel we’ve turned a corner.
”But I can’t stand here and say everything is perfect even now.”
He added: “Luisa is a free spirit and loves life and it’s not easy to be in the public eye, but she accepts she has made mistakes that could also have an impact on my life.”
