OnePlus Nord 2 India launch teased

A few minutes ago, OnePlus posted a tweet saying that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is coming soon. This confirms the existence of the smartphone that we have been hearing about for so long. The teaser post is accompanied by a video that says OnePlus Nord 2 5G is “everything you asked for”. The brand made the tweet from the OnePlus India Twitter account to basically tease that the OnePlus Nord 2 will launch in the Indian market. Oh, by the way, a dedicated teaser page for the OnePlus Nord 2 has gone live on Amazon India, which confirms that the OnePlus Nord 2 will go on sale from Amazon.

Coming to the OnePlus Nord 2 specifications, the company has shared a press release with the media, which reveals that the OnePlus Nord 2 will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI SoC. This chipset is not to be confused with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, which is available in many smartphones such as the Realme X7 Max. According to the brand, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI is exclusive to OnePlus Nord 2. As the name of the processor suggests, it has advanced AI capabilities compared to the standard version of the SoC.

So what are these advanced AI capabilities? Well, according to the brand, the OnePlus Nord 2 has a feature called AI Photo Enhancement that can recognise up to 22 different photography scenarios and, based upon it, the feature can automatically enhance the colours and contrast of the photos to make them more appealing. There is also an AI Video Enhancement tool that enables HDR effects in real-time during recording. There are also plenty of other AI features in the OnePlus Nord 2 related to display, gaming, and video playback.
