Piers Morgan addresses Jeremy Clarkson feud as rivals finally reunite

Following weeks of speculation, Piers has confirmed that he will appear on the ITV show’s Christmas special, as he promised viewers wouldn’t be disappointed with the unfolding drama.

The 55-year-old admitted being in a “panic” ahead of appearing opposite Jeremy on the quiz show.

The GMB host revealed he initially decided against appearing on the programme.

Writing in his latest column, Piers said: “After all, I still have a scar on my right temple, nestling right outside the sensible part of my cerebral cortex, from where Clarkson punched me at the height of our now healed ten-year feud.

“‘Morgan, I can’t believe you agreed to do this!’ ‘Nor can I,’ I grimaced,” Piers penned.

He continued: “‘Well don’t worry,’ [Jeremy] grinned with the undisguised glee of a sadistic public executioner who gets a kick out of guillotining people, ‘now you’ve been dumb enough to say yes, I fully intend giving the British public exactly what it wants…'”

“Clarkson then cackled like Jack Nicholson in The Shining, which suggested he imagined – probably correctly – that the British public would want nothing less than me suffering a catastrophic, career-ending humiliation,” Piers added to Mail On Sunday.

During filming, Jeremy introduced the GMB host on set, saying: “Please welcome our first guest… who is a truly awful human being!'”
