PS5 India Restock: June 23 Pre-Orders Sold Out

The second slate of PS5 restocks this month has been sold out. All retailers seem to have sold out of the console within a couple of minutes of pre-orders going live.

While most Indian retailers went out of stock for the PS5 almost immediately, Amazon India was notably able to hold on to stocks for a few minutes. Retailers like Games The Shop started having problems with their website just in time for the pre-orders to go live.

The delivery date for June’s second slate of PS5 pre-orders is set for early in July. Considering the current situation owing to the global pandemic, however, we expect PS5 shipments to face a few delays here and there.

Can You Still Get a PS5?

In some cases, retailers tend to hold back a few stocks to make available on their storefronts at a slightly later time. To keep track of this just in case it happens again, it could be worth making use of a Twitter bot that tracks PS5 stocks across various retailers in India.

Aside from that, your best bet would be to wait for the next round of PS5 restocks. Considering the frequency of these restocks in more recent times, however, we wouldn’t be too surprised if another slate of restocks gets announced soon enough.

Best And Worst Retailers for PS5 Pre-Orders

Over the first half of 2021, how a retailer has managed to handle its PS5 restocks on a regular basis has given us a good idea about which retailers offer a hassle-free experience, and which retailers should be avoided.

While retailers like Amazon and Croma have largely avoided too much drama (outside of one case of data being leaked to scalpers by a Croma employee), others like Games The Shop and Flipkart have constantly seen several problems with regards to the console. These problems range from just straight up being unable to pre-order the console due to technical issues with the website, to a retailer forcing its customers to cancel orders.
