PS5 India Restock Pre-Orders for July 12, 2021: Where to Buy

After a long wait, Sony recently announced a new wave of PS5 restocks set for July 12. The track record for previous pre-order rounds for restocks hasn’t been smooth, and having multiple tabs open to nab a PS5 console isn’t out of the norm. Pre-bookings for the PS5 will be kicking off once again on June 12, at 12pm. The PS5 is priced at Rs. 49,990 in India, while the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at Rs. 39,990. Here’s everything you need to know about pre-booking a PS5 for the next restock, and where you can do it.

PS5 India Pre-Order Links

Here are all the retailers where you can buy a PS5 from during the July restock.

This will mark the third time that the PS5 Digital Edition will be available for pre-order in India, after missing the first couple of restocks. This time though, the digital only console will not be exclusive to Sony’s ShopAtSC store, instead being available across all major retailers.

PS5 Forced Bundles, And How To Avoid Them

With another round of restocks coming up soon, the question remains – will PS5 bundles be forced on customers, as has been by certain retailers in the past? Officially, Sony has told retailers not to sell a bundle and have the console as well as accessories be available on their own. If all goes well, then most retailers shouldn’t be forcing a bundle to customers.

What Is The Best Retailer to Pre-Book a PS5?

An informal poll conducted on an unofficial PS5 India discord server showed most customers listing Amazon as being the least worrisome throughout the experience. Meanwhile, retailers like Games The Shop have frequently come under fire for not being able to keep their website live during restocks.

It should be noted that even if one manages to pre-order the console, it might take a long time for it to actually arrive. Multiple IGN India readers have reached out confirming that their June 23rd pre-order units only started getting dispatched in early July. Expect the same for the July 12 restock.

As of now, there has been no confirmation of the debut of the new coloured variants of the DualShock controller with the restock, although sources tell us to not rule them out just yet.
