PS5, Xbox Series X August 2021 India Restock Dates on the Way

August 2021 is going to be a busy month for Sony and Microsoft with PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks dates coming soon. Sources in distribution tell IGN India that both console makers plan release stock this month. Microsoft is trying to make the Xbox Series X available around the time Flight Simulator hits store shelves on August 5 we’re told, while Sony has plans to have another round of PS5 restock pre-bookings announced in the first half of the month. Expect quantities for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X to be limited.

For Sony, this is now par for the course. The PS5 India restock pre-orders have taken place six times already and this would be the seventh. Those familiar with the company’s plans tell us that Sony’s objective is to ensure the console is available monthly even if quantities are on the lower side. Reason being, it’s not interested in garnering bad publicity like it did with the PS5 India launch and early restocks. Sony doesn’t comment on details regarding PS5 restocks, so expect your local retailer to have information up the moment it knows. We reached out to Microsoft for comment and will update this story if we hear from the company.

That said, Microsoft doesn’t appear to have any employees in its India team dedicated to Xbox entirely. Sources tell us that most of its India consumer products division is focused on its Surface range of devices and Windows, leaving most of the machinations surrounding the Xbox Series X and S in the hands of its distributor Redington.

The Xbox Series X India price is Rs. 49,990 while the PS5 Disc Edition is Rs. 49,990 while the Digital Edition is Rs. 39,990. All of them come with one year warranty.
