Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was arrested on Monday following an investigation in a case related to creating and publishing pornography. The businessman and his aides were arrested and later put into judicial custody till July 23. Talking about the case, the Mumbai Police Commissioner had told a news agency that Kundra is the key conspirator in the case and there is a lot of evidence to prove that.

Yesterday, Raj Kundra’s lawyer presented his defense in court. Raj’s lawyer said that it is not correct to classify the content in question as pornography as it doesn’t show sexual intercourse between two people. And till the point that isn’t shown, it cannot be called porn. Section 67A of the Information Technology Act on sending obscene content in electronic form’s application was questioned by the lawyer as he said that there wasn’t any ‘actual intercourse’ in the content. Moreover, Raj’s lawyer stated that everyone knows what content is working on the digital space saying vulgar content works. Hence the content was made, however, it cannot be called porn.

Raj Kundra’s lawyer also added that the arrest should have been made when the case couldn’t move forward without it, whereas currently, there is nothing like that. He also called his client Raj’s arrest unlawful. Keep watching this space for more updates on the case.
