Redmi K40 Ultra specs tipped via new leak: Dimensity 1200 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED dispaly, and more |

Redmi is all set to add a new smartphone to the massively popular Redmi K40 series. New information has shown up online about the Redmi K40 Ultra, which, unlike its name, will not one-up the Redmi K40 Pro+. Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station (via MySmartPrice) also sheds some light on key Redmi K40 Ultra specs, which we’ll talk about in just a bit. There is no information about the Redmi K40 Ultra launch date just yet, but more information about that should emerge in the coming weeks. Much like its siblings, the Redmi K40 Ultra could be launched globally under a different moniker; very likely a POCO device.

Redmi K40 Ultra specifications (expected)

According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K40 Ultra will feature an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Its screen size isn’t specified, but that shouldn’t matter a whole lot, given its other specs. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, presumably with up to 8/12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Lastly, the Redmi K40 Ultra will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

Moving on to optics, the Redmi K40 Ultra could pack a 64MP quad-camera array. If previous Redmi releases are anything to go by, we’re probably looking at an ultra-wide-angle sensor, a macro lens, and a depth/portrait sensor. This pretty much covers most of the important information we need to know about the Redmi K40 Ultra. It looks nearly identical to the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition launched not too long ago. Perhaps the Redmi K40 Ultra is, in true Redmi fashion, little more than the K40 Gaming Edition with a fresh coat of paint.
