Rishi Sunak warned HMRC has 'one last chance' to fix SEISS fourth grant problems - act now

Kevin Sefton, the CEO and co-founder of untied, called on HMRC to fill the “glaring gaps” in support for self-employed workers and extend the fourth SEISS grant to cover those self-employed since April 2019.

As he explained: “We estimate there are 650,000 self-employed people that have been ineligible for the SEISS schemes so far.

“With the fourth grant, Rishi Sunak has one last chance to halt the crisis and bring these individuals in from the cold.

“It’s been nearly a year since the pandemic started and during this time many people that work for themselves have suffered catastrophic income losses, made worse by missing out on the help that has been made available to others.
